SmartFi is proud to present the first in an occasional series, Women in Crypto, in which four women with connections to SmartFi discuss issues that concern and interest them. This first episode was titled “Crypto: The Key to Women’s Financial Freedom” and dealt with why crypto can be a useful tool for those looking to build wealth over time.
The four, Kerrianne, Halie, Tovar, and Michelle, are all at different stages in their crypto journey and have differing levels of experience, from Kerrianne, the complete novice, through Halie, who only recently got involved, to Tovar and Michelle, each with years of experience and extensive knowledge in buying, holding and trading crypto.
The four ladies discussed the basics, such as the origins of cryptocurrencies and how they are bought, stored, and spent. They then moved on to more advanced concepts around the ideology of crypto and how Michelle, using a long-term dollar cost averaging (DCA) strategy, uses crypto, rather than fiat currency, in her everyday life.
It was a fascinating look at the real-world applications of digital currencies and their impact on women's lives. It also serves as a beginner’s guide to crypto and it will be of interest to anybody who is keen on the subject, whatever their level of knowledge and experience. The livestream can be seen on YouTube or downloaded from SmartFi.com, while the podcast version is also available from major podcast download sites, such as Apple Podcasts, Google, Spotify, Podchaser, and Amazon, to name just a few.
